A change from wringing ...

everything but.... A way to get to sit down to rest after the daily hard graft of sift and sort ... is to loosely research items found of interest in it’s worth ...

The coin knowledge expanding in mules, rarity, period of different metals used. We had always thought that unless manufactured in minimum, everyone would do the same when a new change in money notes or coins are made, before the previous type eventually being withdrawn from mass circulation. Most people will keep the last of something. The change fron the old system of money meant that along with many at the time my husband and I were issued with the blue covered souvenir wallet of decimal coins in its own wallet in 1971, when this conversion came into force. This one grand example of how the new coinage of low serial numbers in the first issue days are more valuable than the last issues, the mistakes made in minting and printing the new money sometimes not noticed until after circulation, or the rarity of pre 1940s metals are more sought after than items that are two a penny. You will still get many times the value of some coins that are in certain eras etc. Old, out of currency notes are always available for face value exchange at the Bank of England. I noticed some websites exchange money for less the face value ...

The memorabilia value of videos and tour merchandise of some now dead people ... David Bowie, Michael Jackson. The higher value in the dark stuff in both these genres ...  ie not the mainstream films or pop singers. The more cult style of horror ... or music style of not so popular tastes ...

Just out of curiosity I looked up about the videos, for a long time now, no charity shop will take these. There is a word too for our more dated modern tech., including the machines we used to play our VHS on which out populated the Betas ... my late husband’s family chose VHS ... his cousin Beta...

I was able to share with my daughter this now hidden history, to see these type of household products at The Museum of the home, where in these places time and evolving advancements is preserved by room examples ...

It really shows a good example of how time moves on, a time back when I thought the radiograms of previous generations positively ancient back then ... The retro in vintage now antique in my own time line in the cross over of Millenia ...  My immediate grandparents and their families now born over a century ago. The rolling history of World War I into the historic century recalls of the Women’s vote at the Polls in the UK ... the elite classes system, the racial undertones within this gender period of all women who live in Britain too...

My own historic undertones in others possessions kept  ... whilst I am agitated ... I attempt to look at the more fascinating side of the sift in a mix up of life .... the concept of each bit the space is appearing. The exercise in movement of shifting in small doses beneficial in each attempt... especially on aspects I have no interest normally in.

On retrospect I never really been interested in collecting Wade, dolls, coins, stamps, autographs to name some. I did like books. I liked crafting, had a babysitting circle with my sister. And sold some cooking, as well as the charity stuff ... I enjoyed gaining experiences rather than the Guide badges. And I have always assisted people. We have enjoyed the coves within walking distant of a home town long in visits since I left Cornwall, lopping at bottles riding  on the tidal crest of a river than runs through the middle of a town ... and of course honing the art of skimming stones ... apart from the now void gap in my life ...

This is a most refreshing time of getting to appreciate non collecting times ... a somewhat farcical time in reverse whist I declutter in extreme ... and assisting others again ...
